ISIMAT CONSULTING was set up and managed by Jesús Alba López, civil engineer and researcher.

My professional experience began 20 years ago, collaborating in an engineering N.G.O. in projects such as a bridge across Nord-Kivu river in the Republic of Congo, and a drainage and water supply system in a refugee camp in Algeria.

My next projects were collaboration with Alicante University: “Elimination of architectonical barriers in the campus” and the design and construction of a harbour in El Campello (Alicante). Working for Alicante Council, I acquired experience in Geographic Information System (GIS) and data base design.

I worked for an important local engineering company as a civil engineer for 6 years. During this time I performed and directed a wide variety of projects especially oriented towards highway, road design, construction and maintenance.

In 2004 I decided to set up my own engineering company “ISIMAT”, where I am now working. During these 9 years I acquired a high level of experience in customer focus, hiring, team building, financial management, and audits. I also implemented the integrated management systems on health, safety, environment and quality.

From a technical point of view, I have extensive experience working both locally and in a national level in projects such as design and implementation of roads, railways, airports, hydraulic works, development works, urban planning, wastewater treatment plants and building and construction.
